Wolverhampton MArch Architecture

Celebrating BAA Student Ambassador and Wolverhampton MArch Architecture student, Bashir Aminu.

The Black Country Living Museum has been offered the old Woodside Library building Stourbridge Road, Dudley as part of its “Forging Ahead” project. For this, I am required to provide the contractors with necessary details and guidelines to carefully demolish the library and ship the components to the Museum where it will be reconstructed as part of their new 1940-60’s town.

Part of the task is to propose a new contemporary extension to the back of the Old Woodside Library to accommodate offices for staff and necessary ancillary accommodation, for which I have designed a befitting sustainable timber frame structure.
