With the rise in work from home over the last 6 months, is the role of the work place to inspire innovation?
For years we have known that many office buildings can be underutilized.
We have seen organisations look for shorter leases.
We have seen the rise of co-working spaces.
They were not caused by Covid 19 and will persist — and intensify — long after the virus is gone. We need to think about where people will be working at desks and what will be the purpose of office buildings? Because these are not necessarily the same.
To remain relevant, office space needs it to be designed and furnished in a way that allows office workers to access a variety of furniture settings and locations, with innovation playing a central role.
